"I think it's important for students to know their strengths because when they play off their strengths, that is when they are their best selves."

Unlocking Staff & Student Potential

Connecting Strengths to Workforce Readiness

What we can do easily and quickly is an important element in figuring out work that engages and excites us. Gallup research shows that employees who use their strengths on the job are more likely than others to be intrinsically motivated by their work—simply because it feels less like work to them. When employees have the opportunity to do what they do best, they are more engaged, which is directly related to retention rates, reduced hiring costs, the opportunity for greater productivity and organizational impact, and more. Improving performance is far more effective when it is centered on strengths-building versus weakness-fixing.

Using Strengths to Accelerate Learning

Employee and student engagement are critical pieces to help strengthen voice and agency—giving staff and students a stake and ownership in their learning. Utilizing the CliftonStrengths® assessment helps boost confidence and should be a foundational element of personalized learning. We believe that all students deserve to have access to equitable learning opportunities that help them know and use their talents and leverage their full potential.

Connecting Strengths to Wellness

Applying a strengths-based approach to leadership and learning in schools and organizations is a catalyst to improving staff and student wellness, including their physiological and psychological needs. This helps to ensure staff and students feel safe, supported, healthy, and ready to lead and learn.

"I think it's important for students to identify their strengths because they are in the process of figuring out who they are. If we can help them a little bit, even give them five things that they can focus on, we can help make their lives a little bit easier."
